STage management

Katherine gained experience in community theatre before studying at QUT. She recieved her Certificate IV of Live Theatre and Technical Production from the College of Theatre Practice in 2016.
Katherine attended QUT from 2018 to 2020 focussing  energy on her stage management skills. This confirmed her passion for the discipline  and expanded her technical skills. She has experience in calling to script and score, sourcing and making props, creating rehearsal and production schedules and creating risk assessments. Katherine is an organised person with a high attention to detail. She takes pride in her work and enjoys working within a team.

Bee-friendly gardens

Bees are hard-working and underappreciated. The world has become aware of the reported collapse of honeybee populations in North America and Europe have led people around the world to become concerned. Increased urbanisation, greater use of insecticides and a global warming trend are all placing pressure on honeybee and native pollinator populations. I really enjoy gardening and creating bee-friendly gardens and I want to show people how they can help. If we lose our bees, we may lose all the plants that bees pollinate, all of the animals that eat those plants and so on up the food chain. Which means a world without bees could struggle to sustain the global human population of 7 billion.

brass band

A brass band is a musical ensemble consisting of standardised range of brass and percussion instruments. Katherine has played within Brisbane Brass Music Association Inc. for six years as a playing member, four years as their band manager and three years as a committee member. She enjoys the creative outlet of playing music as well as having the opportunity to manage the band throughout the year and at regional, state and national competitions.
Katherine began playing music at the age of nine and primarily plays the Baritone Horn but can also play Euphonium and Trombone. She is very fluent in reading music and calling to score.
